Pete Evoy, our Trust Director, has finally decided to hang up his wellies and retire from SCRT!
Pete has worked for the Trust since 2010, where there were once only two members of staff employed by the Trust. Since then, he has been instrumental in helping shape and develop the charity, now employing eight members of staff.
Some of Pete’s contributions to the Trust include; lead officer for Bowston weir removal, Windermere Restore the Shore, Love Windermere Board member and many more. Before SCRT, Pete worked for the National Rivers Authority as a water bailiff and then the Environment Agency as a fisheries officer for 18 years.
The team would like to thank Pete for his commitment and hard work over many yeas and wish him all the best for this new chapter. In fact, we insist he keeps in touch. Pete will be working one day a week on a specific workstream to help develop and propel this forward…so perhaps his wellies won’t miss him too much for now.
If you have worked with Pete and would like to wish him well, please e-mail admin@scrt.co.uk
Pete’s retirement means he will be able to spend more time on the activities he enjoys, including; cycling, gardening and walking along rivers of course!
