The Environment Agency have recently announced three future flood risk management community drop-in events for Kendal, Staveley & Ings and Burneside.
The dates and times are as follows:
- Kendal on Wednesday 26 September 2018 at Kendal Town Hall
- Staveley and Ings on Wednesday 17 October 2018 at Staveley Village Hall
- Burneside on Friday 19 October 2018 at Burneside Cricket Club
You are welcome to call in anytime between 3.30pm and 7pm.
The Drop-ins follow on from previously held public events where the Environment Agency shared a ‘long list’ of flood risk management options for these communities, and subsequently the ‘short list’ of flood risk management options. Since then, the short list has been further refined in order to produce the ‘preferred’ options. You will be able see and ask questions about these ‘options’ at the drop-in sessions and it’s also just a good opportunity to go get some further information if required. Officers will be on hand to respond to any queries and to explain about the process going forward.
