SCRT are looking for volunteers to help build several leaky dam structures at Roudsea Nature Reserve. The dams will slow flows, acting as water stores and trapping sediment. As a result, water quality in the catchment will be improved, the risk of flooding downstream reduced and wet woodland habitat is enhanced. So why not give it a go?
We will meet at Roudsea Wood and Mosses National Nature Reserve, Haverthwaite, Ulverston LA12 8PE (///daffodils.tasteful.verbs), at 10am.
The site will be wet so please bring suitable clothing and footwear. Facilities and services are also limited, please also bring food and water with you. Appropriate PPE will be provided.
