Bell Beck Balsam Bashing

Due to the poor weather forecast and low interest we’ve decided to cancel this session of balsam bashing. Please book on Thursday’s event if you can. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Come join us for some Balsam Bashing along Bell Beck!

Himalayan Balsam is an invasive non-native species that can spread rapidly causing damage to the environment and wildlife. Many hands can make a difference to help eradicate it.

You’ll need to wear boots or wellies as the ground is a little boggy, trousers and long sleeves as nettles and brambles grow amongst the balsam. Bring your own gloves if you can.

Meet: At the layby, on A592, just north of Holehird Gardens. Grid ref: NY407005. What3words: waggled.strict.brimmed

It’s very satisfying so come along and give it a go!

We continue to have COVID restrictions in place so have limited the number of volunteers allowed at each event. Please follow the Eventbrite page to book yourself a place for free; https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bell-beck-balsam-bashing-tickets-164115737589
