Tracey has over 23 years of experience working in environmental roles in Cumbria since graduating in Environmental Science and specialising in Hydrology and Water Resources at Lancaster University. The last 17 years have been with the nuclear industry, prior to this she worked in a number of regulatory roles at the Environment Agency and in research for the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. Tracey is a Chartered Environmentalist with a Masters in Health and Safety Law and Environmental Law.
Originally from Penrith, she has been a resident of South Cumbria since 2002. Her original role at the Environment Agency was monitoring water quality in West and South Cumbria, she is determined as a new Trustee to be involved in driving tangible improvements.
Tracey is currently the Environmental Permitting & Process Manager at Sellafield Ltd plus she is leading on Natural Capital and Biodiversity Net Gain for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Tracey is also the Independent Chair of the Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre Advisory Group and a member of the IEMA North West Steering Group.
