Oliver is our newest recruit at SCRT, having started in August 2023, after a year out following the end of his degree. He has an MSci in Geography from Loughborough University, during which he enjoyed time spent working on rivers and lakes, particularly getting out in the field and being hands-on with data collection and sample processing.
Oliver will be working to support other team members with data collection and analysis, as well as contributing to projects on decentralised wastewater and natural flood management. Analysis of existing datasets will also help yield further insights from the areas in which the Trust already operates, helping to target interventions and monitor their effectiveness.
Oliver enjoys getting out and about in nature and staying active through walking, running, cycling and swimming. He is looking forward to getting to know the area better over time, and learning more about the people and places which make south Cumbria special, while contributing to their monitoring and management.
