SCRT teamed up with Barrow Community Kitchen and Tesco Metro yesterday, Tuesday 18th September for a Community Rivers Day!

The morning session was a litter pick along Mill Beck. Several people from both the Community Centre and Tesco Metro attended.

As you can see, we managed to fill a few bags…

Lunch was kindly provided by Barrow Community Kitchen.

The afternoon session saw family activities; including river dipping plus arts & crafts. 

We want to say a HUGE thanks to all the volunteers, Tesco Metro (Barrow), Barrow Community Kitchen and Tesco Bags of Help, as without their funding, the event would not have taken place. We hope to be involved in future projects around the area.
